Chrysler has recalled 985 Pacifica and Voyager minivans from model year 2025 because their airbags may not protect passengers in an accident.
The company tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that some side curtain airbags may not have properly sealed seams.
That can keep the airbag from inflating properly, leaving it unable to cushion occupants and increasing the risk of an unbelted passenger being ejected from the vehicle. The hot gases that fill the airbag as it unfurls can also escape into the cabin, causing burns.
Dealers will replace both side curtain airbags to fix the problem.
