Chevrolet has found success with a handful of special editions on its smaller SUVs, so the automaker is expanding them to larger vehicles.
According to Chevy, one in five buyers of its Trax small SUV have opted for the blacked-out Midnight Edition or the slightly-tamer dressed up Sport Edition. So, the pair will make their appearance on the 2021 Traverse midsize SUV.
The Midnight Edition comes in a Mosaic Black Metallic color, with a glossy “black ice” grille, black wheels, black emblems, and black roof rails. The Sport Edition carries the same black grille, badges, roof rails, and wheels, but is available in a variety of paint colors.
Similarly, Chevy says one-third of Blazer buyers since 2018 have opted for the RS package. So that equipment suite will come to the larger Equinox. The RS package includes black upholstery with red stitching, along with a black mesh grille, black badging, and black roof rails.
