
GM warns owners not to drive the vehicles if their check engine light comes on or they experience any “unusual steering behavior” until a dealership has inspected the problem. An illuminated check engine light could mean many things, most of which are not related to the recall. But the warning is a good reason not to ignore it.
Dealers will replace the toe link with a new design that should be less prone to loosening, free of charge.
