Aston Martin DBS Ultimate revealed

Aston Martin celebrates its 100th anniversary next year and to put a suitable exclamation point on that historic event, the automaker has created a special edition based on its current flagship model: the DBS. Appropriately slated for a production run of just 100 units, the Aston Martin DBS Ultimate will be available in both Coupe and Volante convertible body styles, each boasting a series of exclusive cosmetic touches. Exterior enhancements are highlighted by a unique dark grille treatment, carbon-fiber mirror caps, a body-color decklid spoiler, license-plate garish, smoked taillight lenses, Zircotec-coated exhaust finishers, Diamond Black alloy wheels, yellow, red or black brake calipers and special badging in addition to the choice of Carbon Black II, Quantum Silver or Silver Fox paint finishes.

Inside, the Aston Martin DBS Ultimate features supple leather upholstery done in a diamond-quilted stitch pattern with red or silver contrast stitching and a black Alcantara headliner. Even the shifter paddles are embellished with Spicy Red leather accent trim. No changes have been made underhood, where both Ultimate variants retain the DBS’ standard 5.9-liter/510-horsepower V8 backed by either 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

Pricing for the Aston Martin DBS Ultimate models will start at $287,576 for the Coupe and $302,576 for the Volante, and about 20-30 percent of these vehicles are expected to find their way into the hands of buyers in the U.S. A new generation Aston Martin DBS is rumored to be making its world debut at the Paris Auto show later this year.
