Summer Road Trip 2010 #1

Where to Go: Sasquatch! Music Festival
Quincy, Washington (nearby Best Western hotels)
Memorial Day Weekend
Three hours east of Seattle, smackdab in the middle of Washington, there's a three-day music festival that boasts a name even more fun than Lollapalooza or Bonnaroo. This year's Sasquatch! lineup includes newer names like Vampire Weekend, OK Go and MGMT, older names like The Posies, Pavement and Public Enemy, and less familiar names like Dinosaur Feathers, Morning Teleportation and Garfunkel & Oates. Or so legend has it.

How to Get There: 2010 Subaru Outback
A communal gathering that takes place in the middle of nowhere in the Pacific Northwest? The question here isn't which car, but which Subaru? And even that's a no-brainer. The Subaru Outback combines all-wheel drive (a three-hour drive from Seattle just might involve some slick roads), a notably comfy and quiet highway ride, and room for a whole bunch of camping equipment and provisions - for Sasquatch! expeditions not hastily arranged on Friday afternoon.
