Google Android Auto App For Any Vehicle

Google has just made it easier for owners of Android smartphones to use its Android Auto app in any vehicle, not just those late models offering infotainment systems that are compatible with the software. All that’s required to make it happen is an Android smartphone running Android 5.0 or later OS and a new downloadable update (which will be included in later versions) that’s being rolled out now.

Offering a slightly simplified Android Auto menu, Google says this latest product allows access to numerous popular apps including Pandora, Spotify, and Google Play Music as well as using voice commands to make calls or send messages and get turn-by-turn directions via Google Maps. In the coming weeks, support for hands-free operation promises to get even better as accessing these apps/functions will be done merely be saying “OK Google.” The latest details on the availability of this update for specific Android smartphones can be found on the Android Auto website
