2014 Ford F-150 Tremor unveiled
Adding new ammo to aid in its already extremely successful assault on the full-size pickup market, Ford has just revealed the 2014 F-150 Tremor. Billed as the world's first EcoBoost-powered sport truck, the new Tremor is a dedicated exercise in fast flash. Although this street-oriented counterpart to the raging Raptor is not nearly as intense as its off-road sibling, the newest F-150 family member definitely has a charm all its own.

Available only in a regular-cab/short-wheelbase configuration, the F-150 Tremor is fitted with the automaker's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that makes 365 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of peak torque. The engine is backed by a 6-speed automatic transmission that sends power to a 4.10:1 rear axle -- the shortest ratio available on any F-150 and a cog optimized to deliver quick launches. The Tremor's final driveline tweak, in either rear-drive or optional 4-wheel drive, is an electronically locking rear differential.
Cosmetically, the F-150 Tremor's exterior treatment features elements of the F-150 FX Appearance Package plus unique exterior bodyside graphics, flat-black accents, 20-inch black-finish alloy wheels, HID headlamps and bespoke black and red badging. Inside, the Tremor has a flow-through center console with a floor-mounted shifter and bucket seats done in a black leather/Alcantara mix set off with red piping. Brushed-metal accents and a red-stitched leather-wrapped steering wheel complete the Tremor motif which is functionally augmented by standard SYNC with MyFord Touch connectivity.
The 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor arrives in showrooms later this year. Pricing will be announced closer to the actual on-sale date.
