- Acura today released a shadowy photo of the nose of its upcoming RSX electric SUV
- The car will ride on a new platform, including an AI-powered voice assistant
Like wrapping a present the kids already know about, Acura today released a shadowy teaser photo of a vehicle they’ve already shown off in full lighting.
“A dynamically styled SUV based on the Acura Performance EV [electric vehicle] Concept, the Prototype previews the new Acura RSX that is set to arrive at Acura dealers in the second half of 2026.”
Acura revealed the RSX from a rear-quarter angle wrapped in camouflage back in January, so we’ve long had a good idea of what it looks like. But this shot gives us our first glimpse of the front view, showing a sharp nose, neatly creased angular air intakes, and needle-thin LED daytime running lights.
It’s hard to judge size from the photos shown so far, but we think the RSX is likely a compact luxury SUV because Acura already sells a midsize electric sport-utility, the ZDX.
The RSX rides on parent company Honda’s all-new electric platform. It underpins a pair of upcoming Honda EVs, the 0 Series Saloon and SUV. Like those two radically styled vehicles, the RSX will feature Honda’s new Asimo OS technology. It includes an AI-powered voice assistant that can carry on conversations with its driver.
Acura will show off the RSX without camouflage or shadows for the first time at Monterey Car Week, beginning today in California, so we expect to have more to report shortly.
