Offering an early look at a new crossover that will be heading for production, this teaser illo depicts an as-yet-unnamed Acura crossover concept that will be unveiled later this month at the Shanghai Auto Show. The vehicle appears to be a compact, 5-passenger offering, and reportedly has been confirmed for the Chinese market. With its bold proportions and aggressive character lines, this design exercise clearly pushes the conventional Acura styling envelope to a new level. Whether a production version ultimately turns up here in the U.S. to slot below the current Acura RDX and take on rivals like the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and soon-to-launch Lincoln MKC remains to be seen. No other details on the vehicle have been released at this time.
