The 2027 Lexus LX arrives with a handful of new standard features, styling updates, and a modest price increase. There are no new major mechanical changes — the powertrains, platform, and core features all remain the same.
The LX remains Lexus’ flagship SUV, sitting atop the brand’s lineup as its largest and most expensive sport utility vehicle.
New Year, New Standard Features
While nothing major has changed, many trims now come with new standard features and styling options.
The Premium trim will now include new 20-inch wheels that have a darker finish. It will also come with a digital rearview mirror, allowing drivers to see what’s behind them via a rear-mounted camera.
The sportier trim, the F Sport Handling, gains new appearance enhancements. It will come with standard red front and rear brake calipers and offer a new interior color option called Palomino, which is a warm-toned tan.
Both F Sport Handling and Overtrail grades will have standard power-folding rear seats for 2027. The Premium trim can also be equipped with these, but only with the Interior Upgrade package.
What Doesn’t Change
Since the updates for this model year are fairly minor, more stays the same than changes.
The LX 600 and 700h powertrains carry over unchanged. The LX 600 runs on a 3.4-liter V6 engine that produces 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid 700h provides 457 net combined hp and 583 lb-ft of torque.
All gas-powered and hybrid models ride on the same platform and can tow up to 8,000 pounds, underscoring the model’s blend of luxury and off-road capability.
Pricing and Availability
While pricing only rises a few hundred dollars for 2027, the bigger consideration for buyers may be the substantial gap between entry-level and higher-end LX models.
Buyers choosing between the LX 600 and LX 700h should note that the hybrid commands roughly a $10,000 premium over the base gasoline model.
