Kia’s minivan returns for 2027 and sees only minor changes, including what it will cost to get into one. There’s a slight price increase across all Carnival models, along with some feature updates. Otherwise, the 2027 model remains largely unchanged from its 2026 predecessor.

Slight Price Increase
Every trim has increased by just $100 across the board. The lineup has nine trims in total — five gas-powered and four hybrid. The LX entry-level trim will now start at $39,035 (including a $1,545 destination fee), while the topline Hybrid SX Prestige reaches $55,135.
Captain’s Chairs Option Expanded
EX and SX trims will now have the option for second-row captain’s chairs for 2027. Previously, these trims came only with a second-row bench seat. Now, buyers may choose to opt for a pair of chairs in the second row, which allows for more added comfort and easier access to the third row. With the bench seat, the Carnival can accommodate up to eight people. With the captain’s chairs, it can seat seven.
Limited Rear Seat Entertainment
Rear-seat entertainment remains a great feature for family road trips, helping keep kids occupied during long drives. Kia previously offered the optional Rear Seat Entertainment Package on both SX Prestige trims. Now it’s being reduced to one trim only and will solely be available on the Hybrid SX Prestige trim.
Updated Exterior Color Options
The deep Flare Red exterior color will be discontinued after 2026. In its place, a new Iceberg Green color option will be offered instead on EX, SX, and SX Prestige trims.
Pricing and Availability
Kia has not yet provided details for the official release date. However, we do get a full price list. The pricing change is as follows and includes a $1,545 destination fee.
