- The 2027 Mustang Mach-E Trail package adds extra ground clearance, a reengineered suspension, and all-season tires for light off-roading.
- Priced at $2,295, the package offers a more affordable way to add light off-road capability rather than stepping up to the Mustang Mach-E Rally.
Ford is expanding the Mustang Mach-E lineup with a new Trail package, making the electric SUV more equipped to handle light off-road terrain. The $2,295 package is available on the Select all-wheel-drive (AWD) model.
The Mach-E’s starting price with the Trail package is $47,335, including destination charges. That’s $10,000 less than the Rally. The price difference gives shoppers a step between the standard Mach-E and the Rally’s more expensive performance-focused setup.
Ford equips the Trail trim with a reengineered suspension system that raises the front ride height on Select and Premium models. It also gets 19-inch dark gray wheels wrapped in Michelin CrossClimate2 tires. The steering rack comes from the Rally.
Those changes are intended to help the Mach-E handle gravel, dirt roads, and inclement weather. The added clearance provides more room over uneven surfaces, but the Trail remains geared toward light off-road surfaces rather than unpredictable off-road terrain.
The package includes a 400-watt Pro Power Onboard system with outlets in the cargo space and behind the center console. Shoppers can also add roof cross bars. An optional interior protection package includes all-weather floor mats and a cargo area protector.
What’s New Beyond the Trail Trim
For 2027, Ford has made some changes to the Mach-E trims, including a standard extended-range battery. Select and Premium trims have 88 kilowatt-hours of capacity, while the GT and Rally get 91 kilowatt-hours. Ford has not announced its EPA estimated driving range figures.
Ford is also making BlueCruise 1.5 hands-free highway driving technology available on more models — you can now add it to the Select or Premium through an equipment package.
The Select Rear Wheel Drive model starts at $42,040, including destination charge costs. Orders for the 2027 Mustang Mach-E are open. Ford expects Trail-equipped models to reach dealerships in the first quarter of 2027.
