2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Gets Facelift

The Toyota Corolla Cross has been an unqualified success in its short time on the market, bringing the venerable Corolla name and Toyota’s legendary resale value to subcompact SUV buyers in need of a little more space than a small sedan offers. Toyota doesn’t need to make significant changes to keep it on buyers’ minds.

So for 2026, Toyota will keep updates to the model and its hybrid twin modest. The company hasn’t announced pricing. For the current model year, the Corolla Cross starts at $25,485, while the hybrid starts at $29,845 (both prices include destination fees). Toyota says the 2026 Corolla Cross will arrive at dealerships “later this year.”

The changes include no mechanical upgrades. But they help distinguish gas and hybrid models.

Gas-powered Corolla Cross models get what Toyota calls a “wide, rugged grille design.” Wider chain-link mesh and a thick black band holding the Toyota emblem freshen the look.

Hybrid versions, instead, get a color-matched grille flanked by new vertical air vents.

Inside, shoppers gain the option of a larger, 10.5-inch multimedia touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. “Additionally, a Cold-Weather package with a heated steering wheel and heated front seats for extra comfort on chilly days will now be standard on the XLE AWD and Hybrid XSE grades (available on LE AWD and SE),” Toyota says.

The darkened Nightshade edition has disappeared from the Hybrid lineup, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it return. Toyota sometimes announces Nightshade variants after debuting a new model.
