2026 Toyota Camry Gains Darkened Nightshade Edition

The 2026 Toyota Camry Nightshade Edition seen from a front quarter angle

Toyota brought out an all-new Camry for 2025 — the first offered exclusively as a hybrid. Available in either front- or all-wheel drive (AWD), the ninth-generation Camry quickly assumed its birthright as the best-selling sedan in America and was named both the Best New Model and Best Midsize Car in our Best Buy Awards. So, we didn’t expect big changes for the 2026 model year.

As expected, Toyota has kept the new model-year update light. For 2026, Camry buyers will have the option of a new paint color and a blacked-out Nightshade model.

Toyota hasn’t revealed pricing for the 2026 model. The 2025 version on sale today starts at $29,835, including a mandatory $1,135 delivery fee. Pricing will likely stay similar for the 2026 model, though new tariffs will raise the sticker if they persist into the next model year. Toyota builds the Camry in Kentucky, but uses imported parts that will be tariffed. The 2026 Toyota Camry is set to go on sale this fall.

The new color is called Dark Cosmos. That might sound like a disturbing hue that calls forth a hitherto unknown eldritch god from the deepest recesses of your consciousness and leaves you unable to view the universe as anything but malevolent, but it’s just blue.

Nightshade is Toyota’s term for an edition with black trim bits instead of chrome trim bits. It’s at risk of becoming an overdone look, but Toyota still knows how to make it look handsome. The Camry Nightshade gets a blackened grille, trim, bumper vents, door handles, sharkfin antenna, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and side mirrors. You can order it on a Camry in white, red, or black.
