Land Rover has issued a recall for eight 2026 Range Rover Sport SUVs. These vehicles were built with incorrect weight information on their certification labels, potentially leading customers to overload them and increase the risk of a crash.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Safety Recall Report states, “A concern has been identified where a small number of 26MY Range Rover Sport 6-cylinder petrol engine vehicles have been built with weight information on the certification label which exceeds that certified by 200 lbs.”
There have been no reported accidents or injuries resulting from inaccurate weight information.
Range Rovers affected by the recall will need to have the certification label replaced. Recall repairs are always free.
