- The Nissan Frontier gets a new Dark Armor package and a Roush Performance version for 2026
The 2026 Nissan Frontier will start at $33,845, a price increase of just $285 from the 2025 model.
With Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, and Jeep all offering midsize pickups in only a 4-door, short-bed configuration, the Frontier remains one of the two smaller trucks you can still get with a long bed — the Toyota Tacoma being the other.
It received a makeover last year, so it enters the 2026 model year with few changes. However, Nissan will introduce two new options for those who want to spice up their truck.
For those who want a visual upgrade, a new Dark Armor package blackens the grille, badges, tailgate lettering, mirror caps, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it gets a black headliner and darkened door handles, HVAC vents, shifter trim, and dashboard accents.
If it’s a performance boost you want, Nissan will send you to Roush Performance. The upfitters there will offer a new Frontier PRO-4X R Build trim, which adds a 2-inch lift kit, precision-tuned coilover shocks with external reservoirs, and new upper control arms “for enhanced articulation and durability.”
It rides on custom 17-inch wheels and 65/70R17 Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme all-terrain tires. You’ll spot it thanks to a titanium-finished skid plate, distinctive grille inserts and a new lower front fascia, Lava Red tow hooks, and Roush badging.

All prices include a $1,695 destination fee. The 2026 Nissan Frontier goes on sale later this summer.
