- All-new 2026 Mazda CX-5 will start at $31,485 — just $940 more than the outgoing model.
- The CX-5 compact SUV is Mazda’s best-selling model.
The Mazda CX-5 compact SUV is all-new for the 2026 model year, but one thing it won’t come with is sticker shock. The 2026 Mazda CX-5 will start at $31,485, including the $1,495 destination fee. That’s just $940 more than the 2025 model.
When vehicles enter a new generation, it can mean a significant jump in price. The new CX-5’s increase is relatively modest, despite bringing more tech, more room, and more features along with its crisp design for its third-generation debut.
The 2026 Mazda CX-5 will again use the outgoing model’s 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. No mention has been made of a turbo engine, available on the outgoing model, but Mazda says a new hybrid powertrain is coming for 2027.
Like every Mazda SUV, the CX-5 has all-wheel drive standard. That feature often costs extra in rivals, making the CX-5’s value proposition even stronger. The CX-5 will continue to undercut the starting price of the market leaders in the segment, the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.
The 2026 Mazda CX-5 is set to go on sale in the coming months. We’ll bring you more news and our review of Mazda’s best-selling model when we get a chance to test it ourselves.
