- Infiniti’s flagship SUV will get a stylish darkened trim option for 2026
Infiniti introduced an all-new version of its flagship QX80 SUV for the 2025 model year, with an upright design, a grille inspired by a bamboo forest, and high-end audio systems from Klipsch.
Our editors like its bold presence and some high-tech toys such as an available climate control system that senses body heat and adjusts to cool each passenger separately.
But the full-size luxury SUV space is competitive. Companies have to stay ahead just to keep up.
Infiniti will try, in 2026, with a stylish new trim level. The QX80 Sport grade will slot in below the ultra-luxe Autograph edition, and emphasize buttoned-up style.
It features darkened chrome exterior trim, a black front grille, a restyled bumper, and trim-exclusive 22-inch wheels. The mirror caps, roof rails, and badges are also gloss black.
Inside, a new Dusk Blue color scheme appears, “with dark matte chrome accents, graphite for the headliner and pillars, open pore wood trim for the instrument panel and doors, and black/blue seat inserts, including unique diamond-pattern perforation,” Infiniti says.
Infiniti will offer it in Mineral Black, Radiant White, Grand Blue, or Dynamic Metal, the latter option with a Black Obsidian roof. The 2026 Infiniti QX80 is set to go on sale in late summer.

The base of the 2026 QX80 price rises by $1,300 compared to the 2025 model. Infiniti also charges a $2,190 destination and handling charge on the QX80 – one of the highest destination charges in the automotive industry.
