- Honda is giving its Accord sedan modest tech updates for the 2026 model year while keeping its starting price under $30,000.
Honda will make only minor changes to its Accord midsize sedan for 2026, and barely adjust the price to compensate. Prices start below $30,000, with most trim levels seeing an increase of $150 or less.
The Accord is a multi-time Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award winner among midsize sedans, and the updates for 2026 only improve on a good thing.
The upgrades include a new 9-inch touchscreen on LX and SE models (replacing the 7-inch screen used in the last model year), and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto at every trim level. A wireless charging pad is now standard across the lineup, as well. Accord Hybrid models still get a larger, 12.3-inch touchscreen.
The SE gets new 19-inch wheels Honda says will enhance handling. Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid models get black trim, badges, and side mirrors.
Non-hybrid models use a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 192 horsepower and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) that simulates gear changes. Hybrid Accord models use two electric motors and a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, boosting power to 204 hp.
They lack a traditional transmission. Honda explains, “The Honda two-motor hybrid system does not require a traditional transmission or CVT for driving and generating power. The hybrid system relies on the interplay of the two motors rather than use a torque converter or mechanical pulley or belt. This form of direct drive force transfer offers smooth and predictable acceleration matched with efficient low-rpm highway cruising when the gasoline engine is in operation.”
