  • Dodge will bring more power to the 2026 Durango R/T with a new Launch Edition with a 475-horsepower Hemi V8.

The Dodge Durango is the old man of the midsize SUV class. But the old man can still move.

For 2026, Dodge will introduce a new Durango R/T 392 Launch Edition. We’re not sure about calling anything here a “launch” – this generation of Durango debuted for the 2011 model year. But if the term refers to acceleration, it might fit.

This is the 12th Durango trim this year. Dodge has long built an R/T edition as a mid-priced trim with a practical equipment set and a Hemi V8. What’s new here is an engine upgrade. The current R/T uses a 360-hp version of Dodge’s famous Hemi V8. The R/T 392 Launch Edition will get a 475 hp version instead.

Dodge says it’s good for a zero to 60 mph jump in 4.4 seconds and posts a National Hot Rod Association (NHRA)-certified 12.9-second quarter mile. No other automaker routinely asks the drag racing association to certify its family SUVs.

Dodge will ask $51,990 for the model, including a $1,995 delivery fee.

Other features include an adaptive damping suspension, Brembo brakes (six pistons in the front, four in the rear), a high-performance exhaust, and an electronic limited-slip rear axle. All-wheel drive is standard.

Inside, the Launch Edition gets Nappa leather and suede seating with SRT performance bolsters and heated/ventilated front seats, and heated second-row captain’s chairs.

A Premium package adds carbon-fiber interior accents, an 18-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, leather-wrapped instrument and door panels, a suede headliner, and upgraded brakes.

The model is available for order now.
