Hyundai just redesigned its Kona subcompact SUV for 2024, picking up our Best Buy Award in the segment with the effort. So Hyundai has seen little reason to change the Kona for 2025. The Kona will gain a new style-forward trim level and keep its price almost steady for the new model year.
We love the 2024 Kona on dealer lots today for its tremendous value, high-tech cabin, and 10-year powertrain warranty. Available as a gas-powered model or an electric car, it offers class-leading space and a lot of style in a segment not known for fashion.
For 2025, Hyundai will add two new trim levels. N Line S gets many of the cosmetic elements of the N Line, like body-colored cladding instead of black plastic wheel arches. But it skips the N Line’s turbocharged engine to keep prices down.
The new SEL Convenience trim is essentially last year’s SEL trim with the benefits of the optional convenience package as standard equipment. More trim levels also now get 64-color ambient lighting, not just the Limited model.
