GMC’s Terrain compact SUV received a complete redesign for 2025, with a rugged, truck-inspired look and a tech-heavy new cabin. The upgrades come at a cost, however. GMC announced pricing for the redesigned Terrain, with the point-of-entry now coming at $31,395 (including a $1,395 destination fee).

That’s $1,300 more than last year’s Terrain. We should also note that you need to like white to get that price. GMC charges for every other paint color — an increasingly common practice in new car sales.

Engineers kept the Terrain’s powertrain the same across generations. Every 2025 Terrain uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine making 175 horsepower. Front-wheel-drive (FWD) models use a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while all-wheel-drive (AWD) models get an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

All-wheel drive adds $2,000 to the asking price.

An off-road-oriented AT4 trim and the luxury Denali trim will be available for those willing to spend more. GMC hasn’t yet revealed pricing for those trims.

Every trim level gets a huge 15-inch portrait-mounted touchscreen running both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly. The driver faces an 11-inch display screen.
