The 2024 Subaru Impreza will start at $22,995 — $3,200 more than the 2023 model. Subaru also charges a mandatory delivery fee of $1,090 in most states.
The Impreza is all-new for 2024. At a time when many automakers are trimming hatchbacks from their lineup, Subaru has gone all in with the hatchback as its entry-level car, eliminating the Impreza sedan from showrooms.
In its place, the 2024 Impreza offers a restrained-looking five-door. It lacks dramatic looks outside, but the cabin gets an 11.6-inch central touchscreen (big for an entry-level car) with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, new, more supportive seats, and a quieter ride thanks to added sound-dampening material.
Under the hood of most trim levels is Subaru’s workhorse 152-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder boxer engine. But buyers have the option of a sporty RS trim with a 182-hp 2.5-liter motor. Regardless of engine, all 2024 Impreza models get a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT). In RS and Sport models, it includes eight preset gear ratios drivers can control with paddle shifters.
