- Ram hasn’t revealed pricing for the 2023 Ram 1500. We expect prices to range from around $37,000 to approximately $80,000 for the Ram TRX.
The Ram 1500 is America’s third-best-selling vehicle (it briefly took first place last year) and the jewel in the crown of auto giant Stellantis. When you’re winning like that, you don’t change what you’re doing. For the 2023 model year, the Ram will get a minor tech upgrade and a new special edition.
New Safety Alerts, Trail Cruise Control
The headline on the tech update is a new rear-seat reminder system. It senses whether a rear door was opened before the truck was started and, if so, reminds the driver to check for back seat passengers when the truck is shut off. Tragedies of kids or pets accidentally left in cars are rare but devastating enough to make this a good idea that’s being implemented on more and more new cars.
Other changes include a new LED light in the tailgate handle shining on the hitch to make mounting easier in the dark.
Models above the base Tradesman trim now get an optional 12-inch digital gauge cluster, along with a central touchscreen that alerts drivers when an emergency vehicle is approaching (great for those of us who are damaging our hearing with our car stereos).
The Ram 1500 Rebel gains Ram’s Selec-Speed Control — an off-road cruise control usable in low-speed trail crawling.
Limited Elite Edition
A new Limited Elite edition takes the place of last year’s Anniversary Edition with most of the same equipment. It includes practical bed upgrades like a multifunction tailgate, retracting bed step, bed extender, and cargo divider. In the cabin, it adds a heated steering wheel, heated-and-ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, and bright aluminum pedals.
Ram has revealed pricing for the Limited Elite edition, but not the rest of the Ram lineup. It starts at $65,305, plus a $1,795 destination fee.
