Mercedes’ latest electric sedan will start at just under $75,000, with fully-equipped models asking $91,500.
Mercedes is in the process of going all-electric by the end of the decade. To get there, it is slowly introducing an electric equivalent to each of its gas-powered cars. The 2023 EQE sedan is the battery-powered equivalent of the E-Class sedan.
It’s slightly larger on the outside than the famous E-Class, and much larger on the inside, thanks to the lack of a transmission tunnel. The EQE is curvier, too, with a sleek, slightly inflated look and a glossy black panel covered in a subtle star pattern in place of the traditional grille.
Inside, it’s simply opulent. An available Hyperscreen covers the entire dashboard in one continuous touchscreen surface. Options include several digital soundscapes to fill the place of the absent engine noise.
The EQE is available as an EQE 350+ with a single rear-mounted motor that produces 288 horsepower, a dual-motor EQE 350 4Matic with all-wheel drive (AWD) and the same 288 horsepower, or an EQE 500 4Matic with 402 horsepower and an AWD setup.
