Porsche Cayenne shoppers will have a new option to consider for 2022. It includes no performance upgrades, but it’s a handsome-looking package. And it’s a decent value.
Porsche sells the Cayenne in two body styles – a traditional SUV and more aggressively-styled Cayenne Coupe. The Platinum treatment is available on the base Cayenne, Cayenne S, and Cayenne E-Hybrid and their Coupe equivalents.
It adds a brushed silver finish that Porsche calls “satin platinum” to air intakes in the front fascia, the 21-inch wheels, and the badges and rear lettering. The tailpipes and window trim are darkened to a glossy jet black finish.
Inside, you’ll find textured aluminum trim and Platinum Edition sill plates. The seatbelts are chalk-colored – an interesting contrast to the perforated black leather, 8-way power-adjustable seats. A Bose sound system and a panoramic sunroof are also standard.
It’s possible to add most of the equipment included in the Platinum Edition to a non-Platinum Edition Cayenne. But it costs more. We tried adding them to a base model Cayenne and saw the price rise to over $82,000 – meaning the package is good for more than $1,000 in savings.

Porsche also charges a $1,350 destination fee on all Cayenne SUVs.
