For 2022, the least-expensive Mini will sell at its 2018 price.
The 2022 Mini Oxford Edition comes at an MSRP of $19,750 for a Hardtop Two Door, or $20,750 for a Hardtop Four Door. Mini charges an additional $850 destination fee on all models — but that’s one of the industry’s lowest prices, too, and also still at its 2018 level.
Powering the Oxford edition is a turbocharged 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine producing 134 horsepower. It sends its output to the front wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. It comes surprisingly well-equipped for a value model with features like heated front seats, an 8.8-inch touchscreen media display, front collision avoidance, and lane departure warning. Standard features also include leatherette upholstery, LED headlights, Union Jack rear lights, a digital instrument cluster, and, in a throwback to even earlier than 2018, 12 months of SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
If you don’t want to shift your own gears, the Oxford Plus package adds a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a panoramic sunroof for $1,500 more.
It’s quite a bargain. Mini says that equipping a base model Mini with that same list of features would cost $6,150 more.
And while the Oxford edition was once limited only to college students, recent graduates, military members, and retirees, anyone is now free to order one.
