The 2022 Honda Civic has been on dealership lots for just a few months, and already, it’s getting a slight price increase. Sticker prices are going up by $200 across the Civic sedan lineup. Destination charges are going up by $20, to $1,015.
The price increase reflects ongoing supply problems as the automotive industry struggles to obtain enough microchips to produce cars steadily. The delivery fee reflects an increase in the cost of shipping worldwide.
The Civic has been a critical success. Our editors found its handling sporty and precise compared to most affordable compact cars and praised its cabin as “understated but handsome.”
Civic Sedan Prices:
- LX: $21,900
- Sport: $23,300
- EX: $24,900
- Touring: $28,500
Prices for the Civic Hatchback remain unchanged, starting at $22,900. That closes the distance between the two to just $1,000, which could lead some buyers to prefer the added cargo room and European look of the hatchback model.
The hatchback model is one of the last compact cars available with a manual transmission. In a change from tradition, there is no price difference between Civic hatchbacks equipped with a stick shift and those using a continuously variable transmission.
Civic Hatchback Prices:
- LX: $22,900
- Sport: $24,100
- EX-L: $26,600
- Sport Touring: $29,400
