2022 Ford F-Series Super Duty Gets Bigger Screen, Wireless Everything

For 2022, the Ford F-Series Super Duty gets some exterior upgrades, a bigger entertainment screen, and some wireless technology updates. But there are no changes to the drivetrain of the F-250, F-350, or F-450 models.

A pair of new appearance packages give buyers options for making their Super Duty stand out. The Lariat Sport package adds a body-color grille, bumpers, and side mirrors, as well as chrome exhaust tips and black running boards. The Black Appearance Package instead includes black-painted wheels, black badges, and black running boards, but body-color bumpers and grille bars.

Inside, an 8-inch touchscreen remains standard on the XLT model, while the bare-bones XL soldiers on with a 4.2-inch display. But the Lariat and higher trim levels now come with a huge 12-inch touchscreen with the latest, Sync 4 edition of Ford’s infotainment package. This setup also includes wireless charging and wireless integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Big dials remain below the touchscreen – a necessity for work trucks, where drivers may routinely be getting in and out with gloves on.

The 2022 F-Series Super Duty reaches dealership lots this summer. Prices have not yet been announced. The 2021 Super Duty starts at $34,230, climbing as high as $85,000.
