All the good sequels are getting delayed by COVID-19. But there’s one that you won’t see on HBO MAX instead. The 2021 Ford Bronco won’t be available until summer.
Ford originally set Dec. 7 as the start of dealer orders for the revival of its classic sport-utility. But it will delay the process due to COVID-19. Customer deliveries will now begin this summer. The company says the delay is due to supplier problems.
So many Broncos have been pre-ordered (at last report, the pre-order wait was 18 months, before this announcement) that it’s now possible some customers will receive their SUV in the 2022 model year.
One particular configuration – the off-road Sasquatch package with a 7-speed manual transmission — is definitely off until the 2022 model year, the automaker says. We hope this model doesn’t prove as elusive as its namesake.
