On the heels of introducing an all-new RAV4, Toyota has further expanded the lineup by adding an off-road version of this compact crossover SUV. The 2020 Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road is set to arrive this fall and will sport design cues that ties it to other TRD Off-Road models in the lineup.
Among the functional features on the RAV4 TRD Off-Road are 18-inch wheels shod with Falken Wildpeak A.T Trail all-terrain tires, standard dynamic torque vectoring all-wheel drive sending up to 50 percent of the torque to the rear wheels, and Multi-Terrain Select driving modes. These settings include Mud & Sand, Rock & Dirt and Snow, which further enhances the RAV4’s capabilities on- and off-road in a variety of conditions.

Based on Adventure trim level
The 2020 Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road starts with the Adventure trim level and takes advantage of the vehicle’s 8.6-inch ground clearance with a suspension further tuned for trail driving. Power comes from a 2.5-liter 203-horsepower 4-cylinder engine that is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The vehicle is tow-rated for up to 3,500 pounds.

Design cues for the RAV4 TRD Off-Road include high-rise roof rails, large black wheel arch cladding, and more aggressive grille and fascia treatments in-line with those found on the Adventure trim level. The TRD Off-Road is offered in an exclusive 2-tone Magnetic Gray metallic paint scheme with a contrasting white roof. The cabin features SofTex leatherette upholstery offset by red stitching and trim accents, as well as all-weather floor and cargo area mats.
Pricing will be announced closer to its on-sale date. The all-new 2019 Toyota RAV4 Adventure starts at $32,900 plus $1,095 delivery.
