Kia is putting the final touches on its all-new 2020 Telluride SUV, which is slated to go on sale by mid-year. Pricing has been announced with stickers starting at $31,690 and ranging up to over $43,000 in the highest trim level.

Built at Kia’s West Point, Ga., assembly plant, the 2020 Kia Telluride will be offered in four trim levels with a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. All models are equipped with 3.8-liter V6 engines making 291 horsepower which is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Pricing for the front-wheel drive Telluride starts at $31,690 for the LX trim level. The next step up is the S model at $33,990 followed by EX at $37,090 and the range-topping SX at $41,490.

Pricing for the all-wheel drive models starts at $33,690 for the base LX followed by the S model at $35,990. The EX model is priced from $39,090, while the most expensive base price is for the SX at $43,490. Destination is $1,045 extra.

Long list of standard features

As Kia’s flagship SUV, there is a long list of standard equipment including a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, premium audio in the form of a 10-speaker and 630-watt Harman/Kardon system, wireless phone charging, five standard USB ports, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and Kia’s user-friendly UVO telematics system.

Safety and driver assist features include blind-spot monitor and back-up warning with brake assist, lane-departure and lane-keeping assist, cruise control with stop-and-go capability and automatic emergency braking.

Options, packages

S, EX and SX models can be equipped with an 8-passenger seating configuration for $100, and EX and SX models are available with a $795 towing package. A $2,000 Prestige package is available only on the AWD version of the SX and includes Nappa leather upholstery, premium headliner and trim, a head-up display, unique interior color package, a 110-volt inverter and outlet, Michelin tires and a heated steering wheel.

Custom colors include Snow White Pearl, Ebony Black, Black Copper and Sangria, each for $395. Additional accessories like side steps ($690), ambient interior light kit ($450), a front alloy skid plat ($350), illuminated scuff plates ($350), front and rear mudguard kit (($160) and a rear bumper protector ($120) are also available.
