Volvo has taken the wraps off its new 2019 S60 Sedan, and will offer the car for sale, lease or through the Care by Volvo subscription program. The vehicle is also the first car manufactured by Volvo in the United States at its new plant in Ridgeville, South Carolina.
The Volvo S60 will be available in three trim levels, Momentum, R-Design and the range-topping Inscription with three drivetrain options, the front-drive T5 with a turbocharged 250-horsepower 4-cylinder engine, an all-wheel drive T6 with a turbo and supercharged 4-cylinder making 316 horsepower and the all-wheel drive T8 Plug-in Hybrid making 400 combined horsepower from its 313-horsepower engine and 87 horsepower rear-mounted electric motor.

Momentum models are priced from $35,800 for the T5 and $40,300 for the T6. R-Design models start at $41,900 for the front-drive T5, $45,400 for the T6 and $54,400 for the T8 Plug-in. The Inscription is priced from $42,900 for T5, $47,400 for T6 and $55,400 for T8. All prices exclude $995 delivery charges.
Subscription plan
The Care by Volvo subscription plan will be offered on three models starting with a $775 monthly charge for the S60 T6 AWD Momentum. That model includes the Premium Package, Multimedia Package, Linear Lime Wood Inlays, eight exterior color choices and two interior color choices. The S60 T6 AWD R-Design is priced at $850 and adds the R-Design sport suspension as well as sport seats in Nappa leather. The S60 T8 eAWD Polestar Engineered model will be available in extremely limited quantities with pricing to be announced later. That vehicle will have a 415-horsepower drivetrain optimized by Polestar.
The Care by Volvo program includes insurance, round-the-clock customer care and concierge services, including roadside assistance and all maintenance. There is a two-year commitment and 15,000-mile annual mileage allowance. After a year, subscribers can opt into another two years with a different car.

While deliveries of the S60 won’t begin until the fourth quarter, buyers can order or subscribe to the standard models now. Subscriptions for the S60 T8 Polestar Engineered models open June 28 for deliveries during the 2019 calendar year.
