The midsize sedan segment is heating up as Nissan follows the launch of all-new 2018 Honda Accord and Toyota Camry models with its sixth generation of its popular Altima. The Japanese automaker will use the New York Auto Show to feature its 2019 Nissan Altima, which promises dramatic styling, as hinted by the design sketch released with the intro announcement.

Nissan says the image “reveals an expressive, sophisticated all-new Altima and hints at the future of Nissan’s sedan design language.” Expect many of the design cues for the new sedan to come from the Nissan VMotion 2.0 sedan concept unveiled more than a year ago during the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
