- Limited-edition model celebrates V10 power
- Mid-engine R8 produces 620 horsepower
- Only 222 will be built
- Several headed to U.S.
- Priced from over $250,000
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of offering a V10 engine in its mid-engine flagship 2-seater, Audi presented the 2019 Audi R8 V10 Decennium and will produce a limited run of the aluminum-bodied sports car. The coupe sports a distinctive Daytona Gray matte finish offset by matte bronze 20-inch wheels and intake manifold.
Further distinguishing this special model are gloss black front spoiler, side sills and rear diffuser, as well as gloss black Audi rings and badges. Also getting the blacked-out treatment are the carbon fiber side blades and mirror caps.
The black theme continues on the interior with a cabin sporting inlays of gloss carbon fiber and black upholstery offset by copper stitching. Decennium logos are used on the center console, doors and inlays. That logo is also projected by a door light onto the ground.

The 5.2-liter V10 engine produces 620 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque and propels the all-wheel drive coupe to 62 mph in 3.1 seconds on to a top sped of 206 mph. The engine represents a nearly 100 horsepower increase over the original 5.2-liter V10 introduced in 2009, which made 525 horsepower.
Available beginning this spring, the 222 units will be priced at €222,000 ($252,000) each. That price includes an exclusive car cover with bronze Decennium embroidery.
