Nissan has returned a gas/electric model to its Rogue lineup of crossover SUVs, pricing the 2018 Rogue Hybrid at $27,995 for base SV front-drive models. Introduced as a 2017 model, the Rogue Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 30-kW electric motor to deliver 33 mpg city, 35 highway for a combined average of 33 mpg.
The 2018 Rogue Hybrid has a total combined system output of 176 horsepower compared to the 170-horsepower output of the standard model powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. The Hybrid is offered in two trim levels: SV and SL. All-wheel-drive SV models are priced at $29,345, while the higher trim SL starts at $33,555 for front-drive and $34,705 for AWD.
Among the new features available on the 2018 model are Nissan Connect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility; while a standard motion-activated liftgate has been added to the SV model, the SL adds standard intelligent cruise control, lane departure warning, active lane keeping and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. SV models have a revised Premium Package option that adds intelligent cruise control and memory driver’s seat and outside mirrors. The 2018 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is on sale now in four select regions: West, Northwest, Mountain and Mid-Atlantic.
