Mercedes-Benz is offering a new 2018 GLS Grand Edition that feature an upgraded cabin and new standard features. Available on the 3-row GLS 450 4MATIC and GLS 550 4MATIC SUVs, the Grand Edition hits U.S. showrooms mid-year after being debuted at the 2018 North American International Auto Show.
The 7-seat luxury GLS Grand Edition features several plush upgrades to the interior, plus unique and stylish exterior elements including LED lighting and special Grand Edition badges. The interior is highlighted in Porcelain and/or Espresso Brown colors, while the Designo trim level Nappa leather seats feature diamond quilting and Budapest-design piping. The Nappa leather is also used on the dashboard, which is additionally trimmed with open pore brown ash striped trim, which is also used on the door inserts.

Ambient lighting is standard in the Grand Edition along with Espresso Brown velour floor mats. The GLS 450 Grand Edition rides on 10-spoke 20-inch wheels with a 2-tone finish, while the GLS 550 gets 21-inch alloys. Mercedes is rolling out this deluxe special edition to stay fresh in the ultra-competitive 3-row luxury SUV segment. The next-generation GLS is not expected for at least another year or perhaps two.
Pricing for the 2018 GLS Grand Edition was not announced. The 2018 GLS 450, which features a 3.0-liter V6 engine, starts at $70,545 and the 2018 GLS 550, with a 4.7-liter V8, at $95,945. Both prices include destination.
