2018 Mercedes-Benz GLA Previewed

A single teaser shot has been released of the facelifted 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class that will debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. While Mercedes offered no information on the revamped version of its subcompact crossover SUV that rivals the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Lexus NX, the image shows that even the basic GLA250 version of this 5-passenger hauler will get a bolder face with redrawn contours, revised lighting and a revamped grille, all of which are likely to get amped up a degree or two further in the performance-oriented AMG GLA45.

The recast 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class is expected to go on sale here during the second half of this year. While no changes in output area anticipated for the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine in either GLA variant, there are rumors that we might see some enhancements to the interior trims as well as tweaks to the telematics/infotainment systems. We’ll have more from the show.
