Adding a bit more appeal to its compact Santa Fe Sport SUV, Hyundai introduced an enhanced Value Package option for the entry level member of the family and sliced the sticker on most models in the lineup. Available on the Santa Fe Sport 2.4 FWD and AWD variants that come with a 184-horsepower, 2.4-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine and 6-speed automatic transmission, the revised Value Package adds more premium elements to the existing mix. Highlights for 2018 include a power driver’s seat with lumbar support, dual-zone climate control, 7.0-inch display audio system with Blue Link, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay support, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, proximity key with push button start, heated front seats and heated dual power side mirrors with turn signal indicators and LED daytime running lights. These Value Package goodies add $1,900 to the price of both the front-drive 2018 Santa Fe Sport 2.4, which opens at $25,845, and its Sport 2.4 AWD sibling that now starts at $27,395. However, those figures reflect drops of $400 and $600, respectively, compared to their 2017 counterparts.

While Santa Fe Sport models with optional leather also gain a new premium wood-finish trim, the bigger news it that Hyundai expanded its Blue Link services for 2018, starting with the Santa Fe Sport. All Blue Link-equipped models will get three years of complementary Blue Link Connected Care and Remote services with a Guidance package also included on vehicles equipped with a navigation system. Subscribers now will have access to more Blue Link safety and security features including Automatic Collision Notification, SOS Emergency Assistance and Stolen Vehicle Recovery.

Those seeking a bit more performance can opt for a 2018 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T that packs a 240-horse turbocharged 2.0-liter backed by a 6-speed automatic. The Sport 2.0T opens at $32,245 in front drive with AWD bumping that figure to $33,795. At the top of the range, the Santa Fe Sport 2.0T Ultimate adds $4,300 to both of those prices but also brings upscale touches including leather upholstery, a Navigation package with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, 12-spearker Infinity Premium Audio, 360-degree multi-view camera system and a panoramic glass roof. The entire 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport family is arriving in dealers now. Like the Sport 2.4, nearly every other variation on the theme also enjoys some level of price reduction.
