The 2017 Ram 1500 pickup family gets a high-profile boost for the coming year with the debut of two new limited-edition models, the Rebel Mojave Sand and the Ignition Orange Sport. Each carry distinctive color schemes and accents and will be produced in separate runs of just 1,500 units.
Ram 1500 Rebel Mojave Sand
Based on the action-oriented Ram Rebel with its bespoke body bits, off-road-ready suspension and skidplates, the new Mojave Sand edition features a Mojave Sand finish – the first time that color is being offered on any Ram truck – set off with black graphics on its hood. Inside, this Crew Cab Rebel boasts an all-black cabin treatment set off with Light Slate Gray stitching. The custom-embroidered well-bolstered seats are complemented by black anodized bezels on the doors, center console, instrument panel and gauge cluster while rubber floor mats are embossed gray Ram’s head logos. Pricing for the 2017 Ram 1500 Rebel Mojave Sand starts at $46,270 which includes the $595 package cost. It can be personalized with all Rebel options and deliveries will start in December.
Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport
Bringing back a popular limited-run variant introduced for the 2015 model year, the Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport once again is rendered in the bright exterior finish for which it’s named, a color that also is found on its monochrome grille surround. Other exterior tweaks in this $1,595 package offered on Crew Cab models with the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 include a performance hood set off with black graphics, a black Ram’s head grille badge and black badging on the tailgate and body side. The cabin on the Ignition Orange Sport gains more presence thanks to “Copperhead” accent stitching and color mesh inserts on the seats as well as Anodized Orange paint on the trim rings. The 2017 Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport opens at $45,060 and vehicles are arriving in dealership now.
