Arriving in dealers now, the 2017 Nissan Versa Sedan receives minor interior enhancements for the new year but maintains its 2016 pricing. Anchoring the lineup is the Versa S Sedan with 5-speed manual transmission that carries on at $12,825 – although Nissan has dropped the formerly optional 4-speed automatic on this entry-spec variant. Next up is the Versa S Plus Sedan Xtronic CVT that now begins at $14,825, which is a $50 decrease from 2016, while the Versa SV Sedan Xtronic and range-topping SL Xtronic retain their respective $16,415 and $17,975 numbers.
Nissan’s popular subcompact line expands for 2017 with a new SV Special Edition Package that costs $500 but adds 15-inch alloy wheels and fog lights along with a host of comfort/convenience touches including a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 5.0-inch color display audio, SiriusXM Satellite Radio (subscription sold separately), Bluetooth streaming audio, Hands-free Text Messaging Assistant, RearView Monitor and more.

While the 2017 Sentra Sedans continue to be fitted with a 1.6-liter/109-horsewpower 4-cylinder engine driving the front wheels, Nissan has made a few modest changes to the spacious cabin. The center console has been revised and features repositioned USB/AUX ports, a second 12V powerpoint and more accommodating cupholders.
