Billing it as “the first-ever full-size production vehicle to include Star Wars- branded elements,” Nissan pulled the wraps off of its 2017 Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition model in Los Angeles. Created in conjunction with a marketing program to accompany the upcoming Lucasfilm release of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” Nissan’s Rogue One is actually a $1,990 package of subtle but distinctive enhancements on a Rogue SV with the Sun and Sound Touring Package. Rogue One buyers – 5,000 in the U.S. and 400 more in Canada – will have their choice of Magnetic Black or Glacier White paint and front- or all-wheel drive configurations. As a bonus, they’ll also receive a full-size, collectible replica of a stormtrooper helmet.
Regardless of their exterior color, all Rogue One models feature LED headlamps and black 17-inch alloy wheel wrapped in 225/65 tires as well as blackout trim on the grille, roof rails, door handles and rear-door edges, “Rebel Alliance” and “Galactic Empire” decals on the D-pillar, a Star Wars logo clear rear bumper protector and a Limited Edition badge on the front doors. Inside, the Rouge One kit brings a Charcoal cloth interior set off with Limited Edition-logo front floor mats, Star Wars-logo illuminated kickplates, interior accent lighting and cupholder inserts festooned with “Rebel Alliance” and “Galactic Empire” logos.

No mechanical changes were made to the Rogue One’s powertrain, which like its less-distinguished siblings consists of a 170-horsepower/2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine matched with an Xtronic CVT automatic.
