Adding a bit more buyer appeal to the automaker’s best-selling model, the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Limited Edition gets its official unveiling at the Chicago Auto Show. Sitting just above the base Outlander Sport ES, the new Limited Edition of this compact crossover brings a selection of cosmetic and functional enhancements to the mix while maintaining a pricepoint Don Swearingen, executive vice president and chief operating officer, MMNA calls “unprecedented within the broader CUV segment.”

Key exterior changes to the Outlander Sport Limited Edition include HID headlamps, foglamps, black door mirrors, 18-inch alloy wheels, an alloy fuel door, rearview camera and a Limited Edition badge. While offering the full range of exterior colors, the cabin of this 5-passenger hauler is done in bespoke black fabric set of with red contrast stitching. The Limited Edition kit also includes aluminum pedals, heated front seats and a display audio system with Smartphone Link for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Sharing the same 148-horsepower/2.0-liter engine and CVT automatic as the ES, the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Limited Edition will arrive in showrooms later this month and be available through the end of the model year. Pricing will start at $22,890 (or $23,015 in Alaska and Hawaii) for the front-drive version and rise by $1,500 when the Limited Edition is fitted with Mitsu’s All-Wheel Control AWD system.
