The Geneva Auto Show is shaping up to be another epic gathering of new vehicles and among them will be the new 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet. This newest model will be based on the new 2017 C-Class Coupe that made its debut last fall in Frankfurt. Judging from the sketch, it appears this open-air variant also will share a good deal of its basic character with the recently revealed 2017 S-Class Cabriolet that also bowed at the Frankfurt show.

Like its larger S-Class sibling, the al fresco C-Class features seats for four and a fully lined power soft top. Although the same 241-horsepower/2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission used in the U.S.-spec C-Class Coupe is expected to supply motivation at launch, a more potent C63 AMG version reportedly is waiting in the wings.
