2017 Lexus IS Update Teased for Beijing

Although no specifics accompanied this teaser image, Lexus confirmed the 2017 IS Sedan will make its debut next week at the Bejing Auto Show. Lexus already updated powertrains on its compact sport sedan for 2016 and this latest round of revamps is expected to focus more on tweaking the car’s styling and feature set. We’re told to anticipate the most prominent changes being found up front, where the L-finesse design language will influence the car’s edgier-looking fascia. In addition, new headlamps, the latest take on the division’s signature spindle grille and a redrawn hood are intended to give the 2017 IS “enhanced visual impact (that) will absolutely ignite people’s desire to put their hands on the steering wheel.”

A similar remake is promised for the cabin, which will almost certainly gain new trim/accent choices as wells as a welcome update to its infotainment systems, comfort/convenience features and driver-assist technologies. The 2017 Lexus IS lineup is expected to go on sale here in later this year.
