Cranking up its enthusiast index another notch while adding creature features, the 2017 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang will offer more performance when it arrives in showrooms this June. The most welcome enhancement sees the previously optional Track Package become part of the car’s standard equipment, bringing with it the MagneRide damping as well as an aluminum front-strut brace, individual coolers for the engine oil, transmission and differential and a highly functional decklid spoiler.

In addition to replacing Deep Impact Blue and Competition Orange exterior finishes with new Ruby Red Metallic, Lightning Blue and Grabber Blue colors, the 2017 Shelby GT350 Mustang also gains a pair of new interior equipment groups. The Electronics Package includes SYNC 3, voice-activated navigation and 9-speaker audio system while the Convenience Package build on that by replacing the manual Recaro buckets with leather-trimmed power sport seats. The car also will offer an audio system upgrade on the R-Electronics Package that pops speaker count seven to nine. Pricing for the 2017 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang will be released closer to its on-sale date.
