More details have emerged about the new Sport Appearance Package to be offered on the redesigned 2017 Ford Escape that debuted last fall at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Like the Explorer Sport Appearance Package announced last week, the Escape version seeks to attract buyers looking to make a bit more personal statement.

Available on 2017 Escape SE and Titanium models, the Sport Appearance Package features unique 19-inch aluminum wheels with an Ebony Black finish, a color that also adorns the front and rear skidplates. Black also used on the upper grille, front fender moldings, beltline trim, roof rack side rails and side mirror caps as well as the bezels for its LED-accented halogen projector headlamps and LED taillamps.

The Escape’s cabin gets its own understated Sport Appearance Package enhancements, with partial leather trim and contrast stitching on the sport buckets being set off by a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob. The new 2017 Escape Sport Appearance Package will be a $1,295 option when it arrive in showrooms sometime this spring.
