2016 Subaru BRZ and WRX STI Limited Editions on tap

A limited edition Series.HyperBlue trim level will be offered on 2016 Subaru BRZ and WRX STI models that key on a special blue paint scheme and matching interior. The Series.HyperBlue follows a similar 2015 model year package offered just on the BRZ. Slated to go on sale this fall, production will be limited to 700 WRX STI and 500 BRZ cars.

The 2016 Series.HyperBlue WRX STI is powered by a 305-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder boxer engine with a 6-speed manual and all-wheel drive. In addition to the exclusive blue exterior paint, the interior features blue stitching on the Alcantara-clad seats, leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter boot, console and carpeted floor mats. The car is equipped with 18-inch BBS black alloy wheels, black badging and black outsider rearview mirrors. Subaru Starlink with a 7.0-inch screen and navigation along with a sound system featuring 9 Harmon/Kardon speakers and 440 watts of power are standard.

Series.Hyper Blue BRZ

The 2016 Series.HyperBlue BRZ is equipped with a normally aspirated 2.0-liter 4-cylinder boxer engine making 200 horsepower, which drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. For 2016, the BRZ is equipped with a 6.2-inch version of the Starlink multimedia system with single-touch gesture control, AM/FM HD and satellite radio as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

Like the WRX STI, the BRZ has a HyperBlue exterior complementing the cabin’s leather and Alcantara seats which sport blue head restraints and bolsters. Blue stitching accents the seats, blue and black leather steering wheel, as well as the leather shift boot and parking brake handle. Blue is used on the center console kneepads, door trim and floor mats. The car is equipped with 17-inch black alloy wheels, gloss black badging and black outside rearview mirrors. Pricing for both will be announced this fall.
