The most popular offering in Lexus‘ SUV lineup is getting a complete overhaul for 2016. Entering its fourth-generation, the 2016 Lexus RX will officially be unveiled early next month at the 2015 New York International Auto Show. Above are a few teaser images from the automaker itself showing a silhouette, the right taillight, and not much else.

There isn’t a whole lot else to gather from these images but it appears the taillights will share similar styling cues with that seen on the recently released Lexus RC. It’s a pretty good bet that you can expect the new corporate spindle grille seen on the likes of the all-new NX crossover as well as the RC, too. The shadows only allow guessing at this point but the rear pillar appears to be more swept back than in years past.
It’s expected that Lexus will use more aluminum for pieces of the RX’s body this time around in the name of saving weight. Everything else is still up in the air but we’ll confirm it all once we see it in New York in a couple of weeks.
