The all-new 2016 Kia Sorento will be making its first appearance in U.S. trim at the LA Auto Show, though Kia has not announced the powertrains available on its best-selling crossover model. We expect the present 191-horsepower/2.4-liter direct-injected 4-cylinder and the 290-horse/3.3-liter GDI V6 to be found under its hood as well as the availability of both front- and all wheel-drive.

Larger, more stylish and better appointed than the current model, confirmed the 2016 Sorento will continue to offer five or seven-passenger seating and be available in L, LX, EX, SX and SXL trim grades. Only one image of the new Sorento accompanied Kia’s brief pre-show release. Judging from its chrome wheels and recast LED running lamps, it would appear this is a Sorento SX or SXL variant.
